Our episode 8 guest is one of the most consistently winning pitmasters in the Carolina area, Mr. Jason Singletary, pitmaster of the Smoke Central bbq competition team out of Lake City, South Carolina. We talk with Jason about how he got started in the BBQ game, his racing roots, what drives him in competing, and hear about the one particular meat that he's never won a category with. Jason also spills the beans about how to win a sausage "anything butt" ancillary category with just sausage balls! Jason is a humble guy but he really dove into the podcast episode and we really enjoyed our talk, and we think you will also. Noel is a former (and future) competitor, contest organizer, and KCBS judge, currently working towards his Master Judge certification and eventually becoming a Rep.
